Have the Commission's main priorities changed substantially in the light of the latest developments related to the COVID-19 crisis? How prominent are the Green Deal and digital transformation and has the Commission President added new strategic priorities? What position is she taking following the latest developments in Afghanistan and how is this affecting aspirations related to a stronger Europe in the world? Did President von der Leyen share her vision and concrete ideas on how to shape the Union's longer-term development and what role shall the Conference on the Future of Europe play in this respect? Finally, moving beyond the speech itself, what is the overall assessment of the von der Leyen Commission after two years in office and what are the prospects for the years to come?
