Le Pen und Wilders sind begeistert
Die Beziehungen Amerikas zur EU werden sich auf breiter Front erst einmal abkühlen, glaubt Janis Emmanouilidis von der Brüsseler Denkfabrik European Policy Centre. Dazu zählen auch Handelsfragen. Das geplante Freihandelsabkommen mit den USA, TTIP, das auch innerhalb Europas stark unter Druck steht, werde in seiner bisherigen Form jetzt "extrem auf Eis gelegt". Emmanouilidis sieht aber auch Rückwirkungen des Trump-Sieges auf europäische Nationalisten. Rechtspolitiker wie die Französin Marine Le Pen und der Niederländer Geert Wilders haben Trump begeistert beglückwünscht. "Diejenigen à la Trump erleben nun einen Aufwind", sagt Emmanouilidis, und es werde schwieriger werden, etwas gegen diesen Druck zu tun.
