Das neue Jahr beginnt für die Europäische Union so, wie die Jahre zuvor: mit Sorgen um die Stabilität des Euros. Denn die europäische Währung hat in den vergangenen Wochen - seit das Euro-Sorgenkind Griechenland vorgezogene Neuwahlen ausgerufen hat - an den internationalen Finanzmärkten an Wert verloren. Das hässliche Wort Grexit - die Option eines möglichen Austritts Griechenlands aus der Währungsunion - geistert seit dem Wochenende wieder durch die Schlagzeilen. Zwar betonen die EU-Spitzenpolitiker in Brüssel, dass - unabhängig vom Wahlausgang in Griechenland - niemand an einen Rauswurf Griechenlands denkt. Doch allein das laute Nachdenken über einen solchen Schritt - vor allem in den deutschen Medien - sorgt in Brüssel für Unruhe. Ein Bericht von Cornelia Primosch
