Eigentlich dürfte sich diese Frage gar nicht stellen. Der Vertrag über den Stabwechsel ist ein Pfeiler, auf dem die große Koalition von Sozialisten und EVP steht. Andererseits beschert Schulz den Abgeordneten mehr Macht denn je. Er ist zweifelsohne der einflussreichste Präsident in der Geschichte des Europäischen Parlaments. Das sehen auch viele Christdemokraten so. "Schulz hat einen maßgeblichen Anteil daran, dass das Europäische Parlament heute sichtbarer ist als je zuvor. Er spricht Dinge an, die wehtun.
