At the start of the year, the expectation was that Europe would witness a eurozone crisis. That didn't happen. Greece was bailed out and Europe's economy limps on. [...]

Britain will even hold a referendum on whether to leave the bloc sometime within the next two years. 

"There are worries all over that that might happen. Worries because people are considering what the potential effects, political, economic effects might be for the U.K. itself but also for the E.U. in general and whether there will be spillover effects on other member states if one starts exiting what might that means for others and for those who are advocating a potential exit of their countries," said Janis Emmanouilidis, Dir. of Studies, European Policy Center.
