Talk on the Consequences of the Lisbon Treaty for the relationship between the EU and its Eastern neighbours given at a conference organized by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Warsaw and the Bertelsmann Foundation in Warsaw on 18 March 2010. The conference was entitled: The European Union and its Eastern Neighbours – Challenges and new chances of policy shaping.

Others speakers included among others: Marie Luise Beck, Member of the German Bundestag; Mikołaj Dowgielewicz, Polish Minister for EU Affairs; Iris Kempe, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Tbilisi; Eugeniusz Smolar, Centre for International Relations, Warsaw; Pawel Swieboda, demosEUROPA, Warsaw; Pirrka Tapiola, General Secretariat of the EU Council, Brussels; and Jose-Ingacio Torreblanca, European Council on Foreign Relations, Madrid.

The expert discussions were based on the policy papers prepared by Polish and foreign experts: Paweł Świeboda, Janis Emmanouilidis, Iris Kempe and Grzegorz Gromadzki.
