On April 21/22, 2008, the US-European Working Group on Security and Defence met for the second time in Munich. The project jointly initiated and organized by the Bertelsmann Foundation and the RAND corporation aims to issue a policy-oriented report that identifies key issues of common concern in transatlantic relations and make jointly agreed recommendations on how to address these issues. The working group consits of leading American and European experts on international, transatlantic and European affairs.
